Why do buyers choose Poll Dorset sires?

The stud principal said he believed the Poll Dorset was the best prime lamb sire that could be used over a first-cross ewe. He said the stud focuses on consistency and on rams with plenty of meat on them.

He reported an increase in buyer confidence, with a lot of familiar faces and a few new ones boosting the result, and credited years of breeding for the way the rams stood out.
