The top-priced bull, Bonnydale Quadrant W198, sold at $17,000 to Rellum Farms, Mount Gambier, South Australia. The 20-month-old bull weighed 780 kilograms and was sired by Rubys Quadrant 210K and out of Bonnydale Guava R147. It recorded 4 millimetres of rump and rib fat, an eye muscle area of 120 square centimetres, intramuscular fat of 5.3 per cent, a scrotal circumference of 37 centimetres and morphology of 93 per cent. The buyer has bred traditional Simmentals for 33 years and runs about 70 to 80 stud cows, recently introducing Black Simmentals to the herd.

Albany Pastoral Company, Albany Downs, Mitchell, was the bulk buyer with nine head at a $6778 average. Elders and GDL conducted the sale.
