WVLX Mortlake June Store Sale — 6,000 Head Cattle

The WVLX Mortlake June Store Sale, presented by WVLX Foundation Agents, takes place on Thursday 18th June 2026 at the Western Victoria Livestock Exchange, Mortlake, with a yarding of 6,000 head of store cattle. The sale commences at 10:00AM and runs in order of Grown Steers, Weaner Steers, Grown Heifers, and Weaner Heifers. The sale is interfaced with AuctionsPlus, with the full catalogue including videos and photos available from 7:00AM on the day of the sale. A strict curfew of 3:00PM Wednesday 17th June applies to all cattle deliveries.
The offering is dominated by Angus and Angus-cross cattle, with strong Hereford and crossbred representation across all categories. Standout weaner steer lines include 450 Angus Steers (9–10mths) from Moyne Falls, 150 Angus Steers (10mths) from Furneaux carrying Glatz Black Angus bloodlines, and 100-head lines from Kilkenny (Ardrossan), Jamecca Plains (EU, Banquet & Barwidgee), and Appletons Balmoral (Glatz & Chiltern Park). Grown steer highlights include 60-head lines from Kangaroobie (Sim/Ang X, Woonallee), K & J Ferrari, and FG Van Bergen, along with EU-accredited lines from Eilyer Pastoral Co (TeMania) and Bernleigh (AI bred). Weaner and grown heifer numbers are equally strong, headlined by 200 Angus Heifers (9–10mths) from Moyne Falls and quality lines from Grassdale Pastoral, Duxford Ag, and Ellimatta Partnership.
