CTLX Carcoar Autumn Classic — 6,000 Head Weaner Cattle Sale

Central Tablelands calendar, conducted by the Central Tablelands Livestock Agents Association Inc. and its member agencies including Elders, Nutrien, AWN, Bowyer & Livermore, Clements & McCarthy, JJ Dresser & Co, Kevin Miller Whitty Lennon & Co, PR Masters Stephens & Co, Elders Emms Mooney, Tablelands Rural Agency, Duncombe & Co, and Allan Gray & Co. The 2026 edition is expected to yard approximately 6,000 head of pre-weighed steers and heifers, all sold as a dollar-per-head figure, with weights displayed at the time of sale. The sale is conducted at the purpose-built CTLX facility located on the Mid Western Highway between Carcoar and Blayney — one of Australia's most advanced livestock marketing facilities. The catalogue features a strong line-up of predominantly Angus and Angus-cross weaner steers and heifers, with an August/September 2025 drop the dominant age group. Stand-out entries include 450 Angus X Angus steer weaners and 150 Angus X Angus heifers (Mundarra blood) from David Parfett, Carcoar; 140 Angus steers (Milwillah blood, yard weaned) from Kriden Farms; 100 Angus and Angus X mixed sexes from Roydhouse Holdings, "Rock Forest Station," EU Accredited; and 60 Angus steers and 60 Angus heifers (Rennylea blood) from IF & HS Dowsett, "Salisbury," Neville. Many lines carry premium bloodlines including Millah Murrah, Rennylea, Bannaby, Bongongo, Mundarra, and Alloura, with EU Accreditation noted on select lines.
Health preparation across the catalogue is strong, with the majority of cattle presented yard weaned and vaccinated with either 5-in-1 or 7-in-1 at weaning, and drenched. There is also a selection of Poll Hereford mixed sexes (Stanford blood) from G & F Shepherd, Trunkey Creek, and Black Limousin X mixed sexes from J Sutherland, Hobby's Yards, adding breed diversity to an otherwise Angus-dominant yarding.
