EVLX Leongatha Store Sale — 2,500 Head Cattle

South Gippsland Associated Agents — comprising SEJ Livestock & Real Estate, Everitt Seeley & Bennetts (ESB), Phelan & Henderson & Co, and Nutrien Livestock — present their EVLX Leongatha Store Cattle Sale on Thursday 21st May 2026, commencing at 9:00 AM. A total of 2,500 cattle are expected through the yards, with additional and late entries available via The Herd Online website.

Grown steers feature strongly, led by Sam Smith Media's 42 Angus steers (20 months, Murdeduke blood), KD Opray's 25 Leawood-blood Angus steers in forward condition, and lines from Possum Pocket Pastoral, Kama Dean P/L, E McPherson & M Jenkins, Strzelecki Red, and Malachar Park — totalling 152 grown steers across Angus and Red Angus breeds. Grown heifers are represented by Pearson Beef's 40 Angus and Hereford-cross heifers (14–16 months) by Dunoon Angus and Mawarra Hereford bulls.

The weaner section is headlined by J Maclachlan P/L's 150 excellent-quality Angus heifers (12–14 months, sired by top NZ genetics and Banquet bulls, JBS & NE accredited), offered due to an expiring lease. Also offering are M & M Cattle Co's 100 well-prepared Angus steers (9–10 months, Battersby blood, VB, GF, ABF & NE accredited), and M & S Hamblyn's 22 Angus steers and heifers (8–10 months) by Dunoon-bred Angus bulls. The catalogue is predominantly Angus, with strong vendor health and accreditation programs throughout.
