Aussie Land & Livestock Coolabunia Weaner Show & Sale – Cattle

Aussie Land & Livestock, in conjunction with GDL Kingaroy, presents the 2026 Coolabunia Weaner Show & Sale on Thursday 23rd April 2026 at the Coolabunia Saleyards near Kingaroy, South Burnett Queensland. This well-regarded annual event draws top quality weaners from across the South Burnett region and beyond, with judging of the best pens of steers and heifers forming a centrepiece of the day. The sale features sponsored prize money and giveaways, and is part of a three-date series also including a weaner sale on 22 May and a second weaner show & sale on 26 June 2026, with the Kubota ride-on mower prize drawn on the morning of the June sale. Vendors receive one competition ticket per beast entered across any of the three sales.

Past yardings have typically ranged from 1,000 to 1,500 head, drawing Limousin, Charolais, Santa Gertrudis, Simmental, Angus, Brangus and Droughtmaster-infused weaners sourced from the South Burnett tablelands and surrounding districts. The show component recognises champion and reserve champion pens of weaners, best pen of replacement females, and best pens of infused weaners by breed — with past winners including local breeding operations with Limousin, Charolais and Santa Gertrudis genetics. Cattle regularly go to backgrounders and feedlots across Queensland.
