WVLX Mortlake April Store Sale – 1,500 Head

The WVLX Mortlake April Store Sale returns on Wednesday 1st April 2026, starting at 10:00AM, with a powerful yarding of 1,500 head across grown steers, grown heifers, weaner steers, weaner heifers, cows and calves, F1 heifers, F1 steers, and dairy cattle. This is one of western Victoria's premier store cattle sales, and this autumn's offering is as strong as ever at the Western Victoria Livestock Exchange, Mortlake. The sale is also interfaced with AuctionsPlus, with the full catalogue including videos and photos available from 7AM Wednesday. Please note the strict curfew of 3:00PM Tuesday 31st March.

Weaner Steers include 10 Angus Steers (12 months) with Sterita Park bloodlines from Cooramook Plains (CLP), 6 Angus Steers (11–12 months) weaned from Hembray Park (Elders), 11 Hereford Steers (11–12 months) weaned from Hembray Park (Elders), 2 Charolais Steers (11–12 months) weaned from Hembray Park (Elders), and 2 Angus Steers (12–14 months) from Beard Livestock & Transport (BOH).

The Grown Heifers section is headlined by a standout line of 115 Angus and Angus cross Heifers (14–16 months) with Kenny's Creek bloodlines, not seen male (NSM), from Struan (Nutrien) — one of the strongest single lines in the catalogue. Supporting entries include 10 Angus Heifers (16 months) from Winock (HFR), 3 Angus Heifers with Barwidgee and Ballangeich bloodlines from CL & RL Nelson (Elders), and 10 Poll Hereford Heifers (13–15 months) with Ennerdale and Andtraven bloodlines from GJ & TA Menhennet (HFR).
