The prestigious Young Auctioneers Competition is now part of ALPA folklore and one of our flagship initiatives designed to showcase our brightest upcoming talent. Some of Australia’s most respected auctioneers are former winners.

Since its inception in 1991, interest in the event has grown beyond just the agency industry, with the Competition now a keenly observed event across all of agriculture.

Each year, young auctioneers from across the nation participate in State Finals to qualify for the National Finals held at Sydney Royal Easter Show. The overall winner represents Australia at the International Livestock Auctioneer Championship in Calgary, Canada.
