About Gordon Scott
The first thing you will notice about Gordon is that he has a Scottish accent. He tells us that he uses it not because he likes it, but because he’s not very good at any others!
Gordon grew up in a rural community in central Scotland and after completing his schooling, went on to study Sports Coaching and Development at the University of Abertay-Dundee.
He later joined the police in Scotland and after 6 years took the opportunity to join the South Australia Police where he served for 14 years. Most recently based here in Victor Harbor for the past 11 years, making the community a safer place to live and work.
Gordon joins the Elders team as property consultant bringing with him a high level of communication, integrity and professionalism; aligned with a well-established knowledge of the Fleurieu Peninsula’s people, geography and culture. He loves the area passionately and wants everyone who lives here to thrive and ‘live the dream’ just as he does.
“A home is the most valuable asset that a family will own. Being able to trust that the agent you engage with is being entirely open and honest about your asset is vital.”
Since arriving in South Australia, Gordon has lived exclusively on the Fleurieu. He spent 11 years in Mount Compass, raising his family of 3 girls with his wife Louise. More recently he has settled in Encounter Bay to enjoy a more coastal lifestyle.
Gordon has made deep community connections through his passion for sport; coaching at Mount Compass Soccer Club, Mount Compass Netball Club and more recently at South Coast Athletics Club. He enjoys the recreational 5-a-side soccer tournaments with Southern Breakers and his children play netball with the Victor Harbor Netball Club.
When he has spare time, he enjoys recreational running, photography, tinkering in the shed and exploring the more remote areas of the State.
