REIWA Sales Awards from 2009 onward.

Former President of the Property Owners Association of Western Australia 2009-2014.

Former Senior Bank Manager with BankWest.

Extensive experience in selling residential property, building a property portfolio, financing investment properties, and managing rentals.

Personally supervised over 2000 tenancies.

Represented owners in residential tenancy cases held by the Magistrates Court in Kalgoorlie, Midland, Perth and Rockingham.

My first love was agricultural science, which involved living and working across rural Western Australia. I figured that one day I might want to live in the city, so I made an offer to buy an old house on a big block located in Victoria Park, Perth. After settlement, I travelled to Perth, renovated the house, rented it out, and returned home.

Around a year later I noticed that the house pretty much paid for itself, and had gone up in value a bit. So I bought another similar property in Carlisle and repeated the process. That one worked out okay too, and got me thinking about the whole property investment thing. Sometime after house six or seven, I started to get really focussed on building a rental property portfolio.

Fast forward a few more years and houses, and people kept on asking me for help and advice with their rental property situations. I was working full-time as a senior bank manager and still building my property portfolio in the evenings and weekends. Eventually I ran out of time to work in a job, so I resigned and started a real estate agency together with my wife and fellow investor Ann Bettison. In our spare time we had a bunch of children that grew up with paintbrushes, tenants and tip passes.

Now I manage a team of property managers who help ordinary investors build extraordinary property portfolios.
