251 Myrtle Creek Road, Liffey TAS 7301

A long, tree-lined driveway leads to a home full of personality, surrounded by native forest, birdsong and space to explore. Set across approximately 67.56 hectares in Liffey, 251 Myrtle Creek Road offers privacy, a remarkable natural setting and the opportunity to make country life your own.

Timber-lined interiors, exposed beams, brickwork and a distinctive pitched roof give the home its unmistakable character. Generous open-plan living and dining spaces bring everyone together, with windows framing the surrounding greenery. The kitchen features timber benchtops, a recently installed Emilia gas range and a Smeg dishwasher, while the adjoining sunroom provides another inviting place to sit with a book or enjoy a slow morning.

Two spacious bedrooms with built-in storage occupy the ground floor. Upstairs, high ceilings and striking timber details frame two generous rooms, large walk-in wardrobe and loft space, offering flexibility for sleeping, working or creative pursuits. The bathroom was remodelled in 2026 with a large walk-in shower, while a new merbau deck creates a lovely spot to enjoy the fresh air and visiting wildlife.

Separate from the home, a substantial mud-brick workshop provides excellent space for woodworking, making, storage or hobbies, with workbenches and selected equipment included in the sale.

Beyond the house, walking tracks wind through mature trees and fern-filled gullies, with three creeks, waterfalls and seasonal springs adding to the landscape. Backing onto state forest, the property is home to abundant wildlife, with the owners reporting regular visits from wallabies, pademelons, wombats and a wonderful variety of birds. Cleared space offers scope for a vegetable garden and orchard, complementing the owners longstanding approach of managing the land without pesticides or herbicides.

Practical improvements include driveway and drainage works, along with upgrades to the gravity-fed creek water supply serving the 112,000-litre tank.

For those drawn to timber homes, forest walks and room to follow their interests, this is a property with plenty to fall in love with—and scope to continue making it your own.
