Though newly negotiated supply contracts between growers and winemakers will reflect less demand for grapes in the short term, ABARES believes the Australia-United Kingdom Free Trade Agreement will bring opportunities. In 2021, Australian wine exports to the UK totalled $453 million, making it Australia’s new top export destination for wine, both in terms of value and volume.
