A Little History…

Back in the mid-1960s, Phil's father bought this farmland, known locally as Coora. Like many early settlers, he cleared the land for grazing sheep - mostly Merinos for wool. Without their own shearing shed, Phil's dad Eddie would walk the sheep 15km to the nearest woolshed at shearing time.

Through tough seasons, Eddie persevered. The land became home not only to his flock but also to kangaroos, wombats, and a thriving variety of native grasses and herbs that still attract parrots and migrating birds today.

When Phil took over, he continued running sheep but also encouraged the natural regeneration of the land. The mallee stands became havens for bush camping and even novice beekeeping.

Today, with easy access - just 1hr 45mins from Adelaide via Mt Mary and only 10 minutes to the Murray River at Morgan - the property is ready for its next custodian. Phil is now retiring and offering Eddie's as individual bush retreats so others can share in the freedom this land provides.
