About Joss Harman
I began my working life on a cattle station north of Broome which was owned by my parents. I started as horse tailer and rose to stockman, head stockman and then to a management role. After the station was sold, my parents retired to Denmark. My new wife and I took up a management position on a station between Broome and Derby before also moving to Denmark. I bought into an agency here in 1974 and have operated as a principal for my own or partnership businesses ever since – apart from three years spent on a mining joint venture in Africa.
I qualified as a valuer in 1980 and hold License number 346. My specialty has always been the rural sector – both for valuations and sales, with a particular emphasis on cattle stations. However, I enjoy all forms of real estate sales and have also co-ordinated numerous land developments in Denmark and elsewhere in the State.
