About Damian Borger
My love for homes started at an early age. Growing up as the son of a builder, my formative years were spent around construction sites for new homes and renovations, right here on the Darling Downs. The smell of cut timber even today takes me back to my childhood and the fascination I had for homes and the people who lived in them.
A work injury cut short my Dad’s career as a builder and derailed my plan to be his off-sider. It also led me on a different career path after school. I joined the Queensland Police Service and worked as a police officer for the next 18 years. Whilst I didn’t know it at the time, being a police officer would be very helpful for my life in real estate. The skills of listening and communicating with all types of people, in varying situations to find a solution was not only useful, but essential.
Whilst still working in the Police Service, I held my childhood passion close and bought and sold homes and land to either renovate or build. It became obvious that this passion had to be my future career, so in 2007 my life in real estate began.
Over the following years I became a licensed Agent and Auctioneer, worked for a boutique Property Development company, an internationally recognised real estate brand, as well a local property consortium. Working in the residential, commercial and development sectors has been rewarding and allowed me to meet many wonderful people.
Whilst property and homes continue to drive my passion, helping people on a daily basis is my reason for getting up.
Combining my knowledge and skills of transacting property and a genuine love for helping people allows me to guide individuals and families through the minefield of buying and selling property and achieve their goals.
