About Angus Suttor
The family farm on the central tablelands of NSW was where Angus Suttor commenced his life journey. The early part of life revolved around farming, agriculture and associated activities. “I loved the challenge of business and was involved in several, from contract hay carting, to managing off farm investors’ properties, always responding to client needs in a professional, organized and enthusiastic way.”
Living and working on the land and raising a young family was not going to last forever. A proposal to move to the coast and buy into a business with family members was presented to Angus and his wife Catherine. Moving to the beautiful Clarence Valley was an offer they couldn’t refuse.
Owning and operating a small business, Spar Yamba, for nineteen years was a welcomed challenge. It proved to be an excellent chance to grow and improve a business during a period of rapid development in Yamba.
The opportunity to enhance skills in financial and people management came as a matter of course in the day to day running of the business. The ability to always remain fluid in life were the lessons that stuck.
Being involved in business in a small community allows the opportunity to connect with a vast array of people and organisations. This included sponsorship arrangements with Yamba Football Club, Yamba Rugby Club, TLC 100.3 and many other clubs, schools and community groups.
Joining the same team under another franchise name, now called Raine & Horne - Maclean, Yamba, Iluka, has given Angus a new direction in life. “The knowledge, skills and professionalism that the team at Raine & Horne provides, and my strong customer service background has given me the confidence to move into real estate sales knowing that the right outcomes will be achieved".
