For more than 120 years Lauren’s family have selling real estate in the Gunnedah district. Lauren is fourth generation real estate agent and brings you an intimate knowledge of what buyers are looking for.
So how did their worlds collide?
This story begins in the late 1990’s when Ben and Lauren met in Sydney as starry eyed graduates from university – Ben a bachelor of arts in tourism management at UTS, Lauren a bachelor of commerce, marketing & hospitality management at UNSW. Both began working for a travel company specialising in 5 star incentive travel for corporate groups. Their clients were high-end so quality service and client respect were the core qualities needed to survive.
There was a buzz around Sydney at the time with the 2000 Olympics fast approaching. Ben and Lauren got to work with some big clients like Coca Cola & Channel Seven, putting together the “trip of a lifetime” for their high flyers and competition winners – five star hotels stays, lavish restaurants, amazing destinations and travel plus the ultimate spectacle of the 2000 Olympics. It was a very exciting time to be living and working in Sydney.
Post Olympics, Lauren moved into sales and marketing for Carlson Hotel Group, while Ben worked in corporates sales with the Starwood Hotel chain. Both gained valuable experience in sales and marketing as well as exceptional standards of service adopted by 5-star hotels, putting Lauren and Ben in good stead for their career change in real estate.
So after several years working the big city lights and exciting opportunity opened up for the couple to join the Ewing Family real estate dynasty in the rural township of Gunnedah. This “tree-change” gave them the chance to buy a home, get married, start a family and help grow an already successful business steeped in country values.
With their feet now firmly on the ground in Gunnedah, Ben and Lauren have grown from strength to strength with years of real estate experience and dealing with the community they love. In November 2019, after 17 years with Ewing Real Estate, Ben & Lauren are delighted to establish and build their own family business, Robertson Real Estate Gunnedah. Lauren & Ben form the perfect partnership, Lauren’s experience and passion for sales, and Ben’s experience and dedication to property management. It’s a winning formula.
