Our History
The proud legacy of our Agency dates back to 1992, when the business was established under the then Nationwide Franchise by Stan Smith and his business partners.
The business commenced trading as Prime Properties in 1998, and in 2003, Stan’s wife, Bev Smith, took over management of the rental department. The sales department operated independently until May 2008, when it merged with the rental department, resulting in the entire Real Estate business operations of Prime Properties (now McGrath) being managed by Stan and Bev Smith, united together.
Todd Brandon joined the partnership during this time, and is now the Principal. On the 15th June 2015, Prime Properties was looking for the right opportunity to expand and offer more to our loyal client base, which is why we made the decision to become a part of the highly respected McGrath Group. We changed our name to McGrath Rockhampton and Capricorn Coast, and established ourselves within our new premises located at The Headricks Building, Unit 2, 189 East Street, Rockhampton.
We have become synonymous with the community through our active contributions in the local area.
Since then, Bev has expanded the rental business by nearly 300% in six years to the extent that the rent roll now manages more than a quarter of a Billion Dollars’ worth of Real Estate in the Rockhampton Region.
