The PRD - Partial Root Drying Irrigation system - 2 dripper lines are run on either side of the vine - one side is watered for 10 days, then switched to the other side for the next 10 days - this causes stress on the vine allowing a drough hormone to be released and far less transpiration through the leaves - enabling the use of far less water in the growing process.
