165 The Outback Highway, Farina Via, Lyndhurst SA 5731
Auction 1pm 17th of June 17th June 2026 1:00pm
Farina Station
Farina is a Pastoral lease spanning 22,700 Ha. With a Pastoral rating of 2700 DSE, the successful purchaser will have the right to take up the annual license from the Minister for Environment and Water for the Lyndhurst Common adding another 5526 Ha paddock to the grazing potential of the property. This helps to lift the number that can be carried on the property as a whole closer to approximately 3300 DSE.
Ideally situated along the Outback Highway, Farina offers quality access and ease of management, with the main highway running from south to north through the centre of the property.
2026 has had an exceptional start to the season with two major rain events through February and the beginning of March. This has transformed the land system into something that only comes around in rare climatic conditions, giving the incoming purchaser confidence in both water and feed supply for an extended time into the future.
Farina boosts an impressive mix of grazing land with Leigh Creek, Witchelina, Mundy and Farina creeks all traversing the property and merging just west of the Farina homestead. These creek systems create excellent flood out areas, providing high-quality grazing. Recent rainfall has showcased these natural assets.
The property has historically run a self replacing Merino sheep flock and will be offered on a walk in, walk out basis, including 1460 breeding ewes on the point of lambing.
Water infrastructure is a key feature of Farina, with 10 main dams and 3 smaller seasonal catchments all brimming full, spread across the property.
Capital infrastructure on the station includes a well maintained 4 B/R homestead, workshop shed, large machinery shed, self-contained workers accommodation and a self-contained NAB hut all connected to a 240V solar power system with generator backup for 24 /7 power supply in the main living complex. On the north side of the Farina creek there is a 5 stand, raised board shearing shed, with steel sheep and cattle yards and shearers quarters all hooked to a diesel power genset system.
A major highlight of Farina is the strong income generated from tourism operations. These include the well known Farina Campgrounds, located along Farina Creek, featuring high quality ablution facilities with showers and toilets connected to water and septic systems. The campgrounds are a popular destination for travellers, particularly during the annual eight week opening of the Farina Restoration Group's renowned wood fired bakery.
Additional tourism offerings include a self drive 4WD route, through the western ranges of the property, showcasing the area's unique land systems over a three to four hour drive from the campground. These tourism operations have become a significant income stream in recent years, supported by ongoing upgrades to facilities. Accommodation is further enhanced by a self contained ATCO unit and the separate "NAB Hut," both offered for short term stays.
We look forward to your enquiry and the opportunity to arrange an inspection of this historic and highly versatile property. A detailed information pack is available for those seeking further detail.
