MIXED FARMING OPPORTUNITY
Hunter Schute Bell Rice & Co are pleased to present "Hillside", Parkes - an 821hectare (2,030 acre) holding of genuine mixed farming country. Ideally located, the property sits 18 km southeast of Parkes, 26 km northeast of Forbes, and 113 km west of Orange.
"Hillside" offers true mixed farming versatility and has previously operated as the home of a Charolais stud. The landscape ranges from red loam open valleys scattered with Currajong and Box trees to contoured quartz ridges featuring light pine and wattle.
Improvements include a modest two-bedroom cottage, a three-stand shearing shed, and steel cattle yards. Fencing consists predominantly of timber strainers with steel posts and hinge joint, with some sections requiring attention. Boundary fencing is a combination of timber and netting, with a reasonable proportion ready for upgrading.
The property is divided into eight secure paddocks and is well watered by a reliable network of dams.
