James Brown is our commercial and rural sales specialist with 14 years' experience in the rural sector as a licensed stock and station agent, and a further five years in the machinery sales industry, James brings a wealth of knowledge and a strong network to his new role.

A born-and-bred local of Young, NSW, James is a fourth-generation real estate, livestock, and station agent. The Barton family's legacy in the Hilltops & ACT region is well known. James's uncle, Brett Barton, First Cousin Patrick Barton along with his grandfather, John Barton, and great-grandfather, Jack Barton, have all been prominent figures in livestock and real estate sales.

James’s professional experience extends far beyond the local area, having built strong relationships with graziers and cropping enterprises across the Northern Territory, Western Australia, Queensland, and New South Wales. From 2018 to 2023, he represented Hutcheon & Pearce in the Central West, Hilltops, and Upper Lachlan regions, earning multiple prestigious awards for top sales volume and net earnings.
