CVLX Ballarat Monthly Store Cattle Sale — 3,000 Head
The Ballarat Stock & Station Agents Association (BSSAA) presents the CVLX Ballarat Monthly Store Cattle Sale on Friday 15th May 2026, commencing at 9:00 a.m. at the Central Victoria Livestock Exchange, 139 Sunraysia Highway, Miners Rest. This month's catalogue draws an impressive 3,000 head across all categories, with Angus-bred cattle dominating the offering, complemented by strong lines of Hereford, Shorthorn, Charolais, Murray Grey, and Belgian Blue crosses.
The catalogue is headlined by significant grown steer lines including 80 Angus steers (18–20 months) from E & A Stephens & Sons carrying Franc bloodlines, 60 Angus steers (19–20 months) from Rowallan Lodge with Dollar bloodlines, and 50 Angus steers (18 months) from M Fisher & H Purse carrying Te Mania & Kelly Angus blood. Weaner highlights include 40 Angus mixed-sex weaners from Kenfig Partners (Langi Kal Kal bloodlines, yard weaned), 38 Angus steers (8–9 months) from Woodlands Run carrying Dollar Angus blood with Greenhams Never Ever & TFI accreditation (2×5:1), and a strong run of mixed-sex weaners from Gnarput including Hereford and Angus-cross lines with Ardno and Spring Gully bloodlines. Grown heifer highlights include 80 Angus heifers (12–13 months) from Fucheng Australia (Pathfinder bloodlines) and 40 Hereford heifers (3.5 years) from Willowbank (Injemira bloodlines). Joined females include 30 Angus heifers (rising 3 year old) PTIC to Barwidgee bulls from Colmonell, commencing calving 21/6/26 for 12 weeks.
A 3:00 p.m. Thursday curfew applies to all cattle. Buyer PIC registration is available from 8:00 a.m. on sale day. All consignments must carry NLIS ear tags and a correctly completed National Vendor Declaration.
