A little about me

The rewards and personal satisfaction of bringing together a willing buyer and willing seller and making both parties happy is what Kevin Hicks loves about real estate.

Shepparton-born Kevin, who shares a farm-let on the outskirts of Greater Shepparton with his family, began as a livestock agent in the late 1990s, marketing and selling livestock and doing clearing sales. “I was selling my rural clients’ primary income – commodities – and I became really keen to help them with the other part of the equation too by selling property.”

Kevin moved into real estate in 2000, opening Kevin Hicks Real Estate in 2001. What he truly loves about the agency is the team ethos.

“The Kevin Hicks Real Estate team has vast knowledge, including in specialised areas. There is a real willingness to help each other, which is no doubt a strong part of why we’re Greater Shepparton’s leading real estate agency.”

A strong believer in ethics and ongoing training so he can offer clients the very best service, Kevin has been a member of the Real Estate Institute of Victoria (REIV) since 2006. (See more about what that means for us here.)

The people are also something he loves about the Goulburn Valley. “This is a great location for its abundant facilities and varied recreation areas, but it’s the people who make this region.”

The community-minded, local-footy fan (who’s a member of the Shepparton United Football Club) loves watching his three sons participate in and play any sport. Along with wife Fiona, Kevin is a strong believer in giving back: both Kevin and Fiona are big supporters of several local community organisations and charities. Kevin is also a member of the Committee for Greater Shepparton, a group that regularly meets regarding business and concepts for Shepparton, and is also an active committee member of the Shepparton Lawn Tennis Club.
